Rules and Regulations

Violating any laws of any state, local, federal statue would clearly be a violation of Order rules.

Any offense that would cause The Order as a group to be involved in illegal activity is also against the rules.

Violating the rules set forth by the group running and event or practice is also an offense. Instigating any fight either in person on via and sort of electronic media. If an instigator cannot be determined, the Grand Sage and Grand Master will assess the situation and act accordingly. This could result in all parties involved be guilty.

Personally attacking any unit member or non-unit member based on creed, sexual orientation, social status, age, sex, gender, religion. This is not an exhaustive list.

Camping:
Members of the Order are strongly encouraged to camp at “Order Camp.” Order Camp is the official spot that the Grand Master/Sage has chosen for a specific event.  Non-members may be invited to camp with the Order, but in doing so will be held accountable to Order Camp rules.

If a member does not camp at Order Camp they forfeit their place ahead of non-members for food served by the unit, as well as any other commodities.  Members are encouraged to camp at Order Camp to add to the atmosphere created by the unit, but The Order wants its members to be social and travel to other groups and enjoy the company outside the unit. Members of the Belegarth community have knowledge that they will share that The Order cannot give.  Order Camp is meant to be a safe, fun environment for its members.

The Order will not endorse underage consumption of alcohol of any kind and will also be completely drug free.  Any flagrant violation of this rule will render the member subject to ejection from the unit.

If you feel as though it is your right to engage in these behaviors, YOU ARE RIGHT!  Have fun, be safe, but do it outside of Order Camp.
Housekeeping of Order Camp is essential to a healthy and enjoyable camping experience. Therefore, every morning, members of The Order will be responsible to cleaning camp, even if the garbage is not theirs. Also dishes and cooking equipment should be cleaned after every meal.  Camp Master and the member in charge of Garbage will lead the cleanup, but all members are expected to handle their fair share of the chores. If asked for help, do it!

Dual Unit Membership:
Every member of The Order will be prohibited from membership to more than one unit at the same time.  A member who exists within another unit disorganizes the structure of The Order.  Without sufficient consistency of training and presence among members, the unit may suffer on the field.  If a member seeks to join another unit and/or pursue their own interests they are encouraged to find their own path, but duel unit membership will not be accepted in any form.

Politics & Drama
In every system that is competitive, there exists power struggle. Belegarth is no exception to this rule.  When there is a power struggle, there is drama. Members may develop a dislike for other fighters or other units, but members of The Order are encouraged to keep drama to a minimum.  Constructive discussion among members is encouraged, but arguments and intentional “pot stirring” is strongly discouraged.

A Master of the Order was once quoted as saying, “If you can defeat your enemy on the field, all else is mute.” This should be the mentality chosen by all our members.

Disciplinary Actions

First Offense:  You are taken aside by the Grand Sage and/or the Grand Master and allowed to explain your actions.  You are not allowed to fight during battles or trials for the rest of the event. If you are a non-combat member, you are not allowed to participate in any Order ceremonies or trial, and any events you have planned are cancelled.

Second Offense and Beyond:  You’re again taken aside by the Grand Sage and/or the Grand Master. After explaining your situation, you are to wait outside of camp. Any member that has attained rank enough to vote is allowed to vote on your dismissal from the unit.  If it is decided that you are removed from the unit, you will be asked to leave camp.  If you are voted to stay, the above sanctions are re-instated.
